Eton cemeteries

Just after some help or suggestions I知 in Australia but have a trip coming up to the UK and we will have 3 days in Buckinghamshire which is where my ancestors Richard and Elizabeth Fry (3 x G grandparents) Deaths are registered I知 hoping to see if I can find where they might be buried.  The records say that Richard (1805-1881) and Elizabeth (1812-1884) deaths are registered Eton Buckinghamshire.  Do I need to order their death certificates in order to find out where they might be buried?  Is there more than one cemetery.

Any help would be appreciated

A death certificate would be useful.  Eton Registration District covers a number of locations.

I see that in 1881 that Richard and Elizabeth are living in Stoke Poges (part of Eton RD) which might help to narrow down the location of their burials.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Ok thanks for the tip I will order death certificates and see if that helps ... worth a shot

Order the certificates direct from GRO - https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp

If you find the references first, via, say FreeBMD - https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl and make a  note of the references for Richard and Elizabeth, then ordering via GRO is easier. 

You will have to register at GRO, but at no cost.  Order the certificates and pay for them.  PDF files are cheaper and quicker!!

Looking at Google Maps, St Giles at Stoke Poges has a large graveyard.  The Memorial Garden will not be of use to you, as that wasn't created until the 1930's.

Oh yes I知 already registered with GRO so will definitely do that.  Thank you so much for tips if nothing else I can at least check that cemetery out while I知 there.

English death certificates don't list place of burial but the death location might give clues to possible nearby burials.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

For at least two census they were next door it seems to the Plough Inn Wexham St Stoke Poges so will see which cemetery is closest and try that one first.  Is there a register of any kind when there? Plough Inn still there might have to check that out while I知 there.
