For those wishing to help out Kessa, a link to the images for Holcombe Rogus
https://archives.parliament.uk/collections/getrecord/GB61_HL_PO_JO_10_1_83_9

Since I gave links to both the Parliamentary Archives website and to Family Search for Napton on the Hill a month ago, I will do the same for Holcombe Rogus. It may help!

Microfilmed copy of the 1641 Protestation Returns for Holcombe Rogus (need to be logged in as a free member)

I can see:

John Crosse         p1 col2 top
Tristr(um/an?) Davie      p1 col3 5 down
Peter Grant          p1 c2 1 up from bottom
John Grant           2 -1 - bottom
John Crosse          2 - 2 - 9
John Crosse         2 -3 - 1
Hugh Crosse         2 -3 - 4 up

There's also a Walter Cardon (2-3-9) which I suppose could just possibly be a variation of Capron.

Hi David

Thanks so much for your post.  The discovery of Tristrum Davie is great as he is a direct ancestor.  I didn't have Hugh Crosse but I had two others not on your list.  Thomas Davie p2 col 1 about 9 up from the bottom and Thomas Crosse on pg 3 col 1 at the bottom.

Thanks for your interest and kindness in helping me.
Regards
Kessa

Hi Kessa

I think the one at the bottom is Gosse not Crosse. You're right about Thos Davie.
