David William Heath.radical politician.
« on: Friday 12 April 19 11:12 BST (UK) »
My husbands great grandmother Ann Heath was believed to have a brother David William Heath. The family were born in Nantwich Cheshire.Davids birth isn't recorded but  was believed to be 1827/8.He moved to Nottingham and became a solicitor and became involved in politics of which I have details.Believed to have married in Nottingham in 1852,,wife's name possibly Mary and died in 1880.
The only David William Heath I have found on records was born in 1829 in Kent but resided in Nottingham.Could this be the same person?
Many thanks.

Hi
Yes that is him
He marries Mary Ann Stevenson 4 April 1852 at St Peter's
1841 census Marsh Lane Nantwich
Samuel 50  Wharfinger Cheshire
Mary 40 Ireland
Mary 8 Cheshire
Ann 15  dressmaker  Ireland
Edward 15  app clerk  Cheshire
David W  13
Sarah 11

1851 Middle Pavement Nottingham
Thomas Stevenson 59 proprietor of Houses and machinery Nottingham
Mary 53 Notts Stoke
Mary A 30 Nottingham
Sarah 28
David W Heath lodger 22 unmarried attorny's managing clerk Cheshire Marlinch

It's 1861 and 1871 which have him born in Kent but I'd go for the earlier censuses and that he is the same man.

ps His baptism is at Dover St Mary the Virgin  Kent 19 Dec 1828 s of Samuel and Mary Heath Hougham Kent Serg 31st Regiment.

A baptism:

David William Heath, 19 December 1828, at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover.

Parents:  Samuel and Mary.   Samuel's occupation looks to be Sergt. 31 Regt.

many thanks Cider drinker. They are the same family  Why it states Kent is a mystery .

Samuel was a soldier so the family probably moved around the country; his details match the Samuel on the Kent baptism record.
