The birth could also be anywhere in that reg district

Does the birth certificate give an address

Good point - and the district includes Buxton, which is a lot bigger than Chapel.

Hi Rudolf.

So that Baptism is not the Parents that you had for Ronald?

I also was confused as there is another Marriage Reg 1919 in Leics for a Walter Elliott/Lily Haywood.

So where/when did your Ronald die?
Who did he Marry?

There is also this one;
Elliott Ronald, Mothers mn Worner** Pontypridd  11a 1396
1939 he is born 6/6/1920

Trees have Ronalds Mother as Florence Mary Elliott.

Hang on - we're getting further and further away from Chapel-en-le-Frith.

I suggest we wait for Rudolf to get back with more info on what he knows already - things like:
what's on the birth certificate
Ronald's entry in the 1939 Register (if any)
Ronald's marriage and death details

Finding a baptism in 1920 in just the Chapel-en-le-Frith district may be tricky, because few records are online, but I don't think there's any need at present to be looking in other parts of the country.

I have access to the Registers for Town End Methodist Church in Chapel-en-le-Frith, and there is no entry for a Ronald Elliott in 1920

The Parish Church registers (Thomas a Becket) should be at Derbyshire Record Office in Matlock if they are no longer still in use at the church

But, as said above -- the Chapel-en-le-Frith registration district covered a wide area and will have many more churches and chapels
