Gertrude Thelma Hopewell

Haven't been able to find Annie.  I also wondered if Thelma Gertrude may have remarried.  I am not seeing anything for her either.

1945 Toronto city directory has Annie Hopewell (widow of William), laundry worker...living at the Riverdale Isolation Hospital on Withrow Ave.

This means she must have had some sort of contagious disease at this time.   No - looks like she works and lives there.  See below.

1947 - at the Riverdale Isolation Hospital.  Is a laundry worker.  It says she works at the hospital.  Looks like she lives there as well.

Is it possible she died at tis time?

It is possible...or she may have moved to another city, or perhaps remarried?? 

The cemetery may be able to tell you if she is buried with William.  If they can give you Annie's date of death or date of burial, I can check the papers for an obit using the date.   A name search doesn't turn up anything. (That doesn't mean there isn't an obit for her).  A date search would be worth a try.

It looks like William changed employers a lot, and Annie held the steady job.

I haven't seen them living at West Lynn, the address where Gertrude Thelma lived when she got married at age 16    I can't read the house number on her marriage; it is either 20 or 21.  In both 1927 and 1928 the house owners are:
20 West Lynn - Fredk C Talbot
21 West Lynn - Ricardo Hill

She seems to be a bit young to be renting a house, so not sure how that address fits in?  Maybe a Reid relative rents there, and she is staying with them?

I have today heard from the cemetery. They have added my request to their list but only do requests once a month, so we wait to see!
