Teesside archives may have something, they're usually pretty helpful. Have you tried old newspapers? Are you looking for a particular property, or general information?

Oh, just thought of the museum there which may also have some records. A guy I went to school with was involved with the museum & also happens to be an estate agent, Roger Darnton

Trying to trace where family members were living in Guisborough in that time period.  A member of the family was a builder and contractor, trying to establish whether he built/owned specific houses where his brothers lived.  Eskdale Terrace, Whitwell Terrace Belmangate ...............

Street and trade directories would be ideal but thought there may be other avenues available as well.

I have their whereabouts on the census returns to 1911 and where applicable 1939 population register.

Have enquired from Redcar Library and CFHS
