Ancestry only have transcripts of Scottish Records no images, something they are very careful to downplay in their publicity.
The only place to find images is on Scotlands People and I gather they are rather parsimonious in the views of 1939 Register they supply, restricting them to individual entries.

And I should not moan about paying £225 00 per year so that I cannot access ancestry at certain times...... NOT a moan.. so dont shout at me...  just a fact.. I know that this weekend it will be hopeless to attempt a quick search....

Xinia,
I know how you feel, I was the same when I had a sub and didn't get an extension for the free days and the inconvenience of slow searches.

I am now with FindMyPast who do extend my sub for free days but I do take advantage of Ancestry as they have good coverage of Wigan PRs and I have relations in the Antipodes so use the free access to search those records.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. ;D ;D ;D

I have a Scottish ancestor who moved to Co Durham circa 1745-1760. I have traced his family on ScotlandsPeople rather than Anc. Ancestry does have good Huguenot records which has come in handy for my Huguenot lot.

I just wish they gave the UK annual sub users a free worldwide access for a few days.

My father's paternal side started in Scotland so I have used Scotlands People, I may even have a few credits left.
However they left c1850 and going back beyond 1840 proved impossible. So I don't visit SP these days.
If you want the whole sorry story see Brickwall? No! A concrete Bunker!.
