George Henry Wigley
« on: Friday 19 April 19 09:08 BST (UK) »
Happy Easter to you all. :-[  I am back again trying to find this ancestor George H. Wigley born 3/3/1836 baptised 12/8/1839 he married a Miriam Cross at the St. Johns Church Stratford county of Essex  18/7/1858 he was a Gun Stoker his father John Wigley was also a Gun Stoker but changed his profession and became a Commercial Clerk. His baptism has also been a challenge for me, I have never found his baptism place, year around 1796. I wonder if he came from Essex where his daughter-in-law came from, just a thought. Is their any Parish Records for St. Johns Church Stratford Essex, nothing on Find My Past. :-\

Regards,
Janet :'(

I see that you have an old thread about John Wigley, which I will link here to avoid duplication of effort:

Hello avm228 yes John Wigley appeared in the 1841 Census with wife Harriett and children, but he died in 1842 and Harriett died in 1848 it showed nothing his place of birth all it said was born out of county of Warwickshire. :'(

St John Stratford wasn't built until the 1830s

Hello olleym thank for your help but I was hoping to find where John Wigley came from seeing that his daughter-In-Law came from Essex and his son George H. Wigley and Marianne both were living in Stratford at the time of their marriage in 1858. :-[

My mistake
He is shown as resident in Stratford at his marriage.
