My Dad
« on: Saturday 20 April 19 07:19 BST (UK) »
Hi.
I am a newcomer to Rootschat so if I mess up then just let me know.
I have received from one of my cousins a photo of my father when he was a little boy, he is the one being nursed by my Grandfather in this photo.
Dad had a fair complexion with light ginger hair but you cannot see his hair in this photo. His elder brother had blond hair and the middle brother dark hair. Grandpa and Grandma had black hair, I do remember that the vest grandpa is wearing was light brown with dark brown markings. Grandma’s coat was a sort of grey fleck, almost as it is in the photo. Grandpa’s suit and felt hat would have been a light brown as well.
I was wondering anyone might have a go at coloring it for me.

Hi SandyS,

Welcome to RootsChat.   :)   I hope you find it a good site.   Lots of helpful people around.   ;)

I am not one who can colour, but no doubt someone who can will be along soon.

I can do this which is just making it a bit clearer without cleaning it up at all.

Nice photo to have!  ;)

Hi Wiggy
The site was recommended to me by a lady from England as a good site for getting help with research,  just had to join.
Thankyou for doing the photo, yes a bit clearer huh,,, cant wait for someone to try to color it, I dont have any color photos of ancestors really.
Thanks Sandy

Hi Pat... OHHH wow... color just changes everything ... as if it was only yesterday. With Grandpa and Grandma looking so young, my dad just a toddler. Thank you so much Pat. Absolutely love it to bits. So wish I was that clever !!
thank you again Sandy
