Bruyn/Bruen 1758 -1820
« on: Saturday 20 April 19 08:04 BST (UK) »
In my research I have found a page on the IGI that I printed out years ago.

It says Edward Bruen born about 1758 of Diocese, Elphin, Roscommon, Ireland. married
Margaret Dingwell 1787 of Elphin, Connaught Province, Ireland.

This marriage is 26 years before the birth of my Daniel Joseph Bruyn who was born about 1813 Roscommon, Ireland with parents Edward and Margaret

Any and all assistance to try and see if the above Edward and Margaret is my Daniel's parents, is and would be greatly appreciated.

I know unfortunately lots of Irish records are destroyed and births often don't have much information (sometimes just the child's name).

I know it is a long shot and the timeframe is quite large between this marriage and the birth but so far this is the only marriage of an Edward Bruyn/Bruen to a Margaret I have found.

Thanks in advance

No idea of Edward and Margaret but my Daniel and his wife were Catholic (and married in England)

Trouble is Diocese of Elphin takes in many Parishes

...then do records exist for years you need?

Thanks.

I'll look through them.

Yes and in previous Irish research, some churches did multiple baptisms on the one day and just listed the names of who was baptized with no other information.

ok thanks, regarding the Civil Reg Deaths. I noticed the IGI has it spelt Bruen

Thanks,

It looks like in my first part of looking I have found a Marian (? spelling) Bruin baptized 15 March 1812. She could be a relative to my Daniel
