I’m unable to find a record of Emily’s marriage to Marris (and have no info. about him).
Strangely two death index records found for Emily (Griffin & Marris).
Can you help please?

The two index references for the death probably indicate that she was not married to Marris but had just used the surname from around the time the 1939 register alteration was done.

Thanks for your reply Rosie. I wondered if that might be the case. I suppose it's quite likely that Mr Griffin died during the war.
