Help with the Jones's
« on: Sunday 21 April 19 19:26 BST (UK) »
I would be greatful for any help, anyone can give me 😏, i know its not easy with being a Jones.
I have a Samuel Jones b 1849 who married AJane Hansall.
They had Three sons
Frederick John b 1879c my gg grandfather
James b 1870c
Samuel b 1877c

I know father Samuel died, and Jane the mother then married a James Turnock, so in some census the children are Turnock not Jones

I have traced Frederick and also Samuel

My problem is brother James b 1870 c.    Cannot find him in one cencus , the last i know is 1911 he is living with his mother Jane Turnock.
Did he marry when i could not find him ?   Did he marry after 1911 ? When did he die ? Did he have children ?

I know its not easy, and if anyone could take a look at him with new eyes i would be greatful
Lived in shelton / Hartshill
Thanks
Sue

You haven't given any birthplaces for either Jane or the boys or a birth year for Jane

No dates given for either the death or remarriage.  Freebmd shows remarriage was 1888

Which one? You presumably have him in the 1871 and 1881?

Marriage was 1868 but in 1871 Jane is with her mother Mary Hansell - no children.   If he was b 1870 he should be on the 1871 - have you found him elsewhere in 1871?

In 1881 he is aged 11 birthplace Northwood
1891/1911 birthplace is Hanley
1891 age 20
1911 he is 40 and no marital status shown

Yes that is them . Mary was samuels mother 😁

Did not know there was a brother william though. Jane must have been staying at her mothers maybe to look after her
