LUGG family of Bere Regis - "Under warrant from the coroner"
« on: Monday 22 April 19 09:03 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I've just discovered my 3g grandfather, Charles LUGG was born in Bere Regis, Dorset 1846. Like his father, he died young when only 24, when my 2g grandmother was only 2 months old.

His father, James LUGG died when only 46 (1809-1855) and one of his uncles, James LUGG also died young when only 37. The parish burial has the comment "Under warrant from the coroner" and I'm curious to what this may be referring to.

I've gone back as far as my 5th g grandfather James LUGG (1784-1855) the son of John LUGG junior, but would be interested in exchanging information if anyone else is researching this line. Particularly any clues on why my paternal ancestors died so young.

Thanks for reading and hope you've all had a lovely Easter,
Amanda (Melbourne, Australia)
