I have been asking for help on here over the past few day. I have had good response and I’m very pleased. Some helpers have been using the GRO site and they advised me to register, which I have. I’m finding it impossible to find what I’m looking for. I’m normally asking about a marriage, I expect its to do with my health and I get very confused.

Is there anyone on here that can give me simple instructions to help me in my search? I would be ever so grateful.

Marriage registrations are not currently available on the GRO site, but are easily searchable on FreeBMD.

Hello  Xinia :)Its been a long time. You are very kind in helping an old fud such as myself. I can’t find any details about a marriage for Rachel Hambling Abt 1813 Ringsfield Suffolk England. Her parents are William Hambling 1770-1850. Mother Mary Barber 1770-1855. Other trees have her as married to a Daniel Stammers. The trouble is I came unstuck the other day about an entry in another tree, I found it not to be correct. I don’t want to make the same mistake. These days I get confused when I see so many things to fill in.

The GRO site only covers BMD registrations since civil registration began in 1837.

Anything before that you would only find in parish registers.
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

So Rachel born 1813 as you say to William and Mary in Suffolk

and the only marriage on Find my Past is to a Daniel Stammers  in 1835  the spelling of Rachels name is slightly wrong.

I think the main CONFUSION is that you are attempting to search the GRO site, when I am thinking you maybe should be searching Find My Past.. to attempt to locate Parish REGISTERS

I have found the one marriage on Parish Registers for you. -- And this evening will attempt to collate your information in a lanquage that is not all boxes and quotes.. so that maybe you will be able to read through it carefully and slowly x
