The address Mutton Row appears on a marriage certificate from approx. 1860.
The marriage was between Richard Watters coal miner of Mutton Row Kirkcaldy and Jane Crichton domestic servant of Gallatown, parish of Dysart.

Thanks for that.  :)
Do you have them in the 1861 census? I presume they are not at Mutton Row? :-\

Added: You say "approx 1860" .... do you have the marriage certificate?

The reason I am asking about the address is sometimes there is an extra street name or similar which can help. There may be mention of the street in directories but I do not have access. I have only had a quick look so far on one map but not managed to find it. I did see a "Garden Row" which was a small row of terrace houses, which made me wonder if Mutton Row may also be a terrace. I was hoping that the address may have be something like Mutton Row, Something Street, Kirkcaldy.  :-\

Thank you for your reply.
I only have sight of part of the marriage certificate which has been sent to me from a relative in New Zealand.
I can now confirm the marriage took place on the 7th Jan 1861 in Dysart.

On the 1861 census they are shown as living at Main street Dysart.

Wonderful.
That now makes sense. According to the 1871 census, listed on Ancestry, they are show as living at Materhall colling Kirkcaldy. This had obviously been misread but I could not imagine what the address might be.

A very big thank you to you both.
