WWII Field Artillery - Heron David
« on: Thursday 25 April 19 22:21 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Been a long time since my last post. Don't really know if this is the right place to post, but i want to find out more about my grt (1x) uncle who was posted here in the UK during WWII. The only info i have is this snip from an local mag archive in Wisconsin. Any pointers/suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.

I'd suggest your first port of call should be the US National Archives for his record https://www.archives.gov/veterans

This should tell you who exactly he served with and perhaps where they were in UK which may make a better start point.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

seeing as i am not immediately related i don't qualify for his records.

i'll try US Field Artillery for basic info.
