Uniform Identification
« on: Sunday 28 April 19 18:56 BST (UK) »
A relation of mine served on HMS Warspite in WWII.
This photograph has come from another cousin, the suggestion being that it might be him, but I have my doubts.
May I ask if anyone can identify the branch of the armed forces where this man served?

Thanks for any help.

That looks more like army battledress, WW2 period.

Army and after 1945 by the look of it with the medal ribbons.  The large lanyard (rope thingy) on his right arm is the only regimental identification.  The style of it suggests a Rifle Brigade regiment but it could be from a number of others.
