William Wagstaff 51st Regiment part 3
« on: Thursday 02 May 19 06:47 BST (UK) »
Hi all
I have again come across some more information on Private William Wagstaff.

I am still trying to find out whether his children, 2 girls Mary Ann circa 1837/8 and Sara 1839 were born in Ireland or England. These 2 children were on board when they landed in Tasmania.

Whether William and his wife were married in England or Ireland and if they went to New South Wales or Tasmania.  I have been unable to find any records

The 51st Regiment had to stop at Tasmania to pick up water and some of the regiment stayed, the rest of the regiment went onto New South Wales with convicts on the "Port Sea".

I next trace William and family on the "Runnymede" heading to Western Australia, where they eventually settled.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thank you for this
I have gathered most of his information when he arrived in Western Australia.
