I imagine that you have seen the war record now but, in case not, he gave Elizabeth's address as High Street, Saxilby and his age as 24 and 303 days on 8th December 1915.

On the next page his age is crossed out and 25 years and 110 days inserted as from 7th June 1916; i.e. born February 1891.

Baptised on 26th April 1891 and registered Jan-Mar 1891, which ties in with the war record.

The CWGC record has an incorrect age.

I should have looked at more of the record.

On 12th October 1919 it lists his relatives.

Father - dead
Mother - dead

George, Frederick and Charles Robinson.
Annie Taylor, Florence Vickers and Mary Ann Wooley.

Also some address details of them also.

George Robinson received his medals.

I'm still new to the CWGC site, and had only discovered the basics, I think I need to have a good look round it.

the information is wonderful, the part about her being in Saxilby is also relevant as that's where I was first directed, until all the other information I found suggested they were in Toft and Market Rasen.

Also the part about George is also interesting as he was my direct ancestor and I hopefully can talk to some local people about where his belongings went.

Thanks for that, The age is out by about 7 years, I need to work out how the CWGC works reagrding quotes about family as it states that both parents were deceased, but of course if the information is taken from records written in 1919 then that wouldn't be an issue.

I can look at a different area know as I was at a dead end regarding Market Rasen,

We are visiting her husbands grave this bank holiday to clear some growth away, I'm really hoping she was transported back there.

The burial record gives her age as 61, which ties in with her birth on censuses, although the BMD index doesn't tally.

e.g. 1861 Census - Elizabeth Bennett (Bonnett) born 1856 in Owersby.

Baptised on the nineteenth Sunday after Trinity 1855 of Owersby Moor. I think this makes it at the end of October.

The war record is on Findmypast and might be worth having because it has George Robinson's signature for the receipt of the medals.

Also his death:
Residence: Saxelby (Saxilby), Lincs
Birth place: Toft, Lincs
Enlistment place: Lincoln
Death: 23 10 1916

Thanks I'd seen that she's almost certainly a relative Christiana was the name of her husband's mother
