Woolley / Edenbrow / Allen (Coleby / Waddington areas possibly)
« on: Thursday 02 May 19 09:11 BST (UK) »
Hi,

 I'm following up on another branch of the tree.

 If there is anyone here related to the following and you can help me research back to 1900 then I would appreciate any messages.  I have found most of the marriage records for the following but I'm specifically looking for relatives who are still alive and might know about other ancestors.

 Mary Ann Robinson married John William Woolley (also married William
                                          Fisher later in life)

 Their Children

 Elsie May Woolley (married Charles Edward Allen and had a son Reginald C
                            Allen and possibly 1 other child lived in Waddington)

 Ivy Mary Woolley

 Florence Rose Woolley (Married Henry Edenbrow and lived in Coleby for
                                  quite a while)

 I am actually trying to trace their ancestor Elizabeth Robinson who is Mary Ann's Mother.

 Thanks for reading.

 David

Hi David,

 Thanks for the reply, I have most of the information up to the 1939 register, but have no knowledge of Elizabeth's death and burial.

 I'm hoping that one of her relations mentioned above might know something, I myself am related to Mary Ann's brother, but he moved away to Derbyshire and I haven't tracked anyone down in Lincolnshire yet who might know about Elizabeth.

Baptism;

ELIZABETH Bonnett, Parents JOHN/ANNE

Siblings;
WILLIAM    11 Oct 1846
DANIEL BAINES 19 Dec 1847
SARAH 26 Aug 1849
MARY ANN 1853
JOHN 1862
(FreeREG)

John BONNET/Ann DRURYS Marriage is on there also 1845, both have a Father William.

Elizabeth Robinson is alive in 1911 and alive in 1915 on her Son Arthurs Army Records.

CWGC;
Private
ROBINSON, ARTHUR
Service Number 25081
Died 23/10/1916
Aged 23
2nd Bn.
Lincolnshire Regiment

Son of the late Isaac and Elizabeth Robinson.***

So if Elizabeth was deceased also then a narrow window for her Death.
Although it could just mean Isaac is dead.

Aaah have you contacted the Tree owner on Anc who has her buried 13/04/1924 • Market Rasen.
They may have the Death Cert to confirm it is her.

Trish :)

 Thank you Trish,  I didn't have the information about the Army Records, could you let me know where you got them?

 that extends the period I can look from.

 Isaac died in 1909 and is buried in Market Rasen, the 1924 record is for a different Elizabeth Robinson, married to a Jonah, I'll look on Ancestry and contact the person you mentioned.

 You have helped a little :)

 David

As she was only in her 50's in 1911-1916 could she have remarried?

That is my next line of enquiry, I've really struggled to find an Elizabeth Robinson who died with the correct birthdate, there is one in Canwick Road Cemetery in Lincoln, I'll go there Monday to see if there is a stone and information.

After the weekend I'll start looking at marriages, I've only been doing this the past year so I'm still actively looking through all the branches it's been quite informative so far.

 I think I'd seen that somewhere before, just the basics nothing about family, but dismissed it because his age is wrong.  He should have been down as 25.
