Am using McKieves Family Tree Maker 2017 software for my Family History and the the Local Library for Research and access to MEDIA files (Census, BMD Documents etc) who hold FREE LIBRARY EDITIONS of Ancestry and Find My Past.
FTM 2017 syncs with Ancestrys ONLINE TREE but as you know access to linked Ancestry sourced Media files is restricted to Ancestry subscription which means if you wish to share your tree with family and friends on an ANCESTRY online tree the information available to view is restricted to text and not media files. This is also true of GEDCOM files so media has to be installed manually which is rather time consuming but am prepared to do
ANY RECOMMENDATIONS for suitable options for an ONLINE TREE that is FREE to use, accept GEDCOM files, accept MEDIA file introduction, and is secure which can be shared with Family and Friends. Not interested in Search and Research features just storage and sharing. The BIG 3s ONLINE trees, Ancestry, Find My Past, and The Genealogist all have restrictions, along with My Heritages FAMILY TREE BUILDER which restricts the number of people in the tree without subscription and TRIBAL PAGES which requires subscription for uploading GEDCOM files.
