Hi. Does anyone know the duties carried out by an RAF Seaplane Wader during the formation of the Royal Airforce at the Felixstowe Seaplane Experimental Station in April 1918. My wife's grandfather Arnold Jones served as a Seaplane Wader from the 29th May 1918 until it was disbanded in 1919.

Seaplane waders would be up to their waists in water, handling the planes on and off the slipway. See photos:
