tracing my grandmother

I can see two deaths for a Francis in the 1930s in the London area. Which one is his:

2nd Qrt 1934 - Kenny Francis    77    Marylebone 1a/ 620
1st Qrt 1939 - Kenney Francis    71    Hackney 1b/ 596

I think the Hackney death could well be for the Francis who shows with wife and family here in 1911 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWGH-66X (you need to be signed on to Family Search to view these days).

Is it your family tree on Ancestry? The 1934 death and 1911 census entry you have for Francis on there.

From there I see Hugh Albert was with his father Leonard Jaques in 1911. His wife must have been very accepting of the situation...given there looks to be another baby in the household also fathered by Leonard Jaques.

Ann McLennan, just married and around 3 months pregnant, very likely still working as a domestic in London. To be found still!

Do you have a copy of Francis' death cert? With a possible address, you could check the London Electoral Rolls to see if you could trace him in London through this period up to his death. There does look to be entries for a Francis Kenny in the right period in Westminster, Camden and Islington areas. A confirmed address for Francis would help you to follow this up.

Was your father raised by his mother Ann?

It may be an idea to post all known details on Ann Jane, addresses of where born/died, parents names etc. as others may be researching this family & although possibly wouldn't have known/met her may have wee snippets of info. or pics?

in the 1911 census my gran was still in service in Eton Avenue by that time she was 40 years of age my father who was still Hugh Albert Mclennan was residing with a family called Jacques at 14 Harcourt street was listed in the census as 1 year old son of the family, I also think that was where my Gran stayed when she wasn't working. Anne and Francis Kenny were Married on the 8/03/1935 in the district of Marylebone in London. Their daughter Lilian Elizabeth was born quarter july - sept 1911 so she would have been my dad's half sister.

OK found it at last but different birthplace

Just in case any details are wrong re parentage on her death this looks like her birth which will/should name both parents with mms;
