Charles Anthony Brown/e born 1828

I have posted before searching for Charles Anthony Brown/e born 1828 Hampshire?.  (Son of Anthony James Brown/e born 1793 for some reason in Glasgow.

Have been trying to trace this ancestor for ages.  Can anyone read whether Charles Anthony Brown was married on the attached 1861 Census.  States that he was Head, and Foreman of Works, Stokes Bay, Hants.  I THINK that there were working mens cottages, and he might just have been Head of that cottage??

Wondering whether he was Corps of Royal Engineers like his father.  MAYBE guessing at Fort Gilkicker?

Any help much appreciated.

Have had a look at the Word version of the Census for 1861 and it has "U.M." on it.  So I shall take that as unmarried and will have to work a bit harder for info on this illusive ancestor.

The reference is RG 9 / 645 / folio 75 / p. 37

Charles is unmarried, aged 28 and born in Kent.
