Quinine was given with her food and that made her go the wrong way. Her brain seem to go too ?? round & round as she couldn't catch it? She thought of too many things at once.

This sentence confuses me!

I think they might be quoting her.

Ie, they gave  her quinine with her food. Then she reported that it was making her “go the wrong way” my brain feels sharp, it’s going round and round and I can’t catch it.

My theory anyway,

It’s sounds very unpleasant

'Appears to be much reduced mentally and
quite lost to her surroundings; inattentive,
vacant, or smiling; untidy + dirty (?dpctor's initials?)'

I suspect that 'dirty' in this context might refer to incontinence.
