I did think Matilda for first name and last three letters in surname o n e.
Fact that I'm partially sighted really does not help. You are always so helpful, much appreciated.

I think your Ann Bennett may have been my Mary Bennett' s sister.
Mary was born 1833, parents William and Catherine.

I have several Egans acting as sponsers  to my Keoghs  in Lusmagh and I thiink my great ,great grandfather married a Bridget Egan.

Lola5,

Thank you for posting.

The Bennett line is a new one to me so early days, this is what I have so far but still subject to confirmation.
My g grandmother, Anne Egan 1854 was the daughter of Laurence Egan,1836 (to whom I have a confirmed DNA link) and Anne Bennett 1833 of Lusmagh. I'm still no further on with finding AE's birth record though should you come across her. She may even have been a sponsor for one of your family baptisms.
At this stage of my research I think that AB's parents were Martin Bennett and Esther Sullivan and that she had at least two sisters,Mary 1828 and Hanoria 1836.
I will most certainly investigate the other Bennett couple and family for the purpose of clarification one way or another.
Always happy to help if I can.
Best wishes,
 Scatty

Hi,
Oct 30th 1853 marriage of Laurence Egan to Ann Bennett present John Egan and Bridget?

Feb 3rd 1853 marriage of Thomas Keogh to Mary Bennett( bap 1833) present Edward Shiels and Anne Bennett.
So your Anne Bennett does not seem to be my Mary,s sister as different birthdate but possibly a cousin?

I have come across your Anne Egan but  mislaid the  bit of paper   i wrote latest stuff on .
Been going through all the Lusmagh parish registers hoping to find earlier marraiges .
Does anyone know where you can find Lusmagh marriages before 1829?
Was Laurence Egan's fathe the poet Edward Egan?
An Ann Egan married a  Thomas Larkin july 26th 1838.
Egans,, Larkins, Keoghs and Quirkes all connected families.
