Just been doing a search on my grandmother Rosina Bennett (Keenan) born oct 31st 1910 just her mothers name on birth certificate but managed to find a link to her mother "working" as a infirmary ward maid at 308 renfrew street glasgow but no trace of birth or death certificate for her. Looks like the Keenan family took her into their family.Any ideas how to trace her mother Rose Bennett

There is a birth for a Rose bennett in 1888 in Coatridge, is that not a possible?

OK, ignore, looks like she died age 7.

birth 1893 Hutchesontown?

Think hutchesontown could be right..iv found a grave not far from there if it's right she died at 25🙁

308 Renfrew Street, Glasgow was a Deserted Mothers Home and Rose no doubt living there until she had her child.

The only likely Rose Bennett I can see is the one born 1893 (1st September) Glasgow, dau. of William Taylor Bennett, Gold Beater, and Annie Jane nee Hook (who married 3/5/1875 London).

The family were English and all Rose's older siblings born in England.   Her mother Annie Jane Bennett (nee Hook) died 2/5/1928 Rosebery Street, Glasgow - informant was her daughter Rose McDougall.

So, if this is the right Rose she married a James Barr McDougall 17/7/1924 Glasgow.

There is a tree on Ancestry for the family.
