John William NICHOLSON & Ann Katrine PEDERSON

hi all
i am new to this site, and geneology
my great grand father was Capt John William Nicholson, with a with by the name of Ann Katrine Nicholson
both buried in the Hillsborough cemetry in AK, New Zealand

what i am trying to do is to find his relatives
i have his birth date as 8 July , but cant find one that matches 1846?? 1851..yes
i think his parents were John and Hannah
i dont know of ang siblingss
i know he had an uncle who came to NZ, and built a  house in Mangonui, and had something to do with the Customs
any info would be greattly appriciated

You could purchase the death printout for J W Nicholson,hopefully the informant knew the required information

If so his parents should be named

Parents

Name and Surname of father
Name and if known maiden surname of mother
Rank or profession or occupation of father

thanks for all that
i have been looking for that newspaper cutting, i did have that..from an original..but i lost ALL my family tree stuff a few years back
am having to start from freash
and will order his death cert next week, along with his wifes one too

Get the printouts NOT the certs.They often have more information and the bonus is they are cheaper too

It seems they divorced in 1908
