Bonnet Hall Worsley.
« on: Saturday 11 May 19 14:14 BST (UK) »
Bonnet Hall is where I lived until 1951.
At the time it was divided into 4 homes & our address was 6 Greenleach Lane.
My Gran & Aunt lived at No.2 & a lady (Mrs Heyes) lived at No 4.
There were 2 very elderly ladies name of Evans living in the other part but their home
probably came under Worsley Road.
I have the Evans ladies plus father on the 1911C.The other persons on that Census had family names Gaynan,Harrison ,Howard,Howell,Kay & Pearson.(17 persons in total)
Most of these worked in the boatyard at Worsley but I would like to know more going back in time
of the residents living at Bonnet Hall.
We were always given to understand that coachmen from Worsley Hall lived there but have no evidence to date.
Bonnet Hall was demolished around the mid 1950s as it was no longer fit for habitacion.
I would also like to know how old it was.

Any info appreciated please.
