Have to disagree with the date. Everything is wrong for the 1870's (except for the oval vignette card).
The hairstyle, neckline & bodice is typical Edwardian.

I apologize if I broke any rules, and I will refrain from any further photo repair/enhancing/colorizing if the poster requests dating. I enjoy doing this type of photo work, but I am not going to spend any time doing it if I upset people. I welcome critical evaluation of my work, that's how I learn, but not accusations of submitting someones finished work as my own. I did a small amount of restoring to the photo that Chris01 submitted in his original post.  I did NOT knowingly post a previously restored photo!

          Don't worry about it John. You keep doing what you're doing mate.

      In fact I nearly used Wiggy's restore as I'd not seen this posting before. Fortunately

   I saw Peter's posting and used the link to go to the original.  I'm so glad that I did (thanx

   Peer) because if I'd used Wiggy's restore, she would never let me forget it.

      We need people like you mate so keep at it.
