I think this is more likely Margaret Josephine's marriage:

Using the Glasnevin index which is a fantastic help i have found that Thomas died 1943 and Mary died 1939  both of 45 Fairvew Ave there is also a death recorded 1919 for a 19 yr old Thomas McCarthy 24 Fairvew Ave

Yep, that's her alright.  I searched the grave records for Denis, and he is buried in the same plot as Margaret Cronin, died 04 Dec 1973.

Her sister Catherine died a spinster 7 days later.

Thomas Patrick died at 19 in 1919.  Can't quite make out the cause of death.

Thomas and Mary the parents died in 1943 and 1939, respectively.

I think Thomas (1919) died of Phthisis. (TB)

You're doing well at finding all these people!

Couldn't have done any of it without you!

So now our open questions are:
John Joseph: What become of him and Margaret Whelan?

Margaret Josephine: Did she have any children with Michael Cronin after marrying at age 37?

Eileen Geraldine: What became of her?

Stephen: Was the informant and present at death when both of his parents died.  What became of him?

Timothy Justin: Haven't found him after birth.  What became of him?

Maureen, you are amazing (dathai and others too)!  I wonder if you could figure out anything about Thomas' elusive New York brothers...

Difficult to tell if it's the correct person but from Ireland, Civil Registration Marriages Index, 1845-1958 (Ancestry):

1947 Dublin North
Anthony John Barrett
 Thomas Milner
 Bernard McCluskey
 >>>Eileen Geraldine McCarthy
 Patrick O'Connor
......

I did try to check on the missing brothers in NY. Got nothing but a massive headache!

Maureen :)

EDIT: was just going to post that, dathai!

Have you checked c reg Marriage results for Timothy Mc Carthy from 1929 to ?

I looked at Dublin ones only.    http://www.rootschat.com/links/01nsl/
