Uriah was the son of Uriah Collitt/Collett and Johannah Ashman who married 12 August 1873 Rowley Regis, Stafford. 

The family appear together on the 1891 census Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

Father Urial Collitt 1857 passed away 1913 - aged 56 years - Gainsborough - 7a 828

Mother Johanna Collitt passed away 1924 aged 70 years - registered Gainsborough December - 7a 760

Maria passed away 1928 - aged 43 years registered - 1928 Gainsborough - 7a 774
