I use either Chrome or Firefox on Win 10* or Mohave and, as I've said , I've had no probs.

Looks as if it's a browser incompatibility.

* just remembered that it's fine on an old  Win7 laptop.

IE on Win7 laptop.  Had a response to my email to them - clear cookies & cache.  I've done this but the problem persists.

Nearly 40 years ago when I started my computing career the answer for all problems if you didn't know a specific solution was to switch it off. These days it is clear all your cookies. Whatever your views on Microsoft, I can't believe they don't support Internet Explorer.

Try changing to Chrome or Firefox to see if that works.

Guess what?

I've just used IE (a first for everything)

Went to Ancestry. Accessed my Tree. Tried to edit.

AND I got the white bar.

It's IE  .

Thanks Gadget, I've downloaded Chrome and guess what - it works!  Was time for a change anyway.  Now I can use FamilySearch again too.

Whatever your views on Microsoft, I can't believe they don't support Internet Explorer.

I was rather surprised that (IE's successor) Edge isn't on the list. Presumably this will change when Microsoft moves Edge over to the same rendering engine as Chrome.
