Oldham Church Burials
« on: Thursday 16 May 19 09:37 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone, I posted on Rootschat recently about on of my Ancestors, Mark Dale and his wife Elizabeth. With your help I was able to confirm both the date of Mark's death and that of Elizabeth but I cannot seem to find the thread again.

Elizabeth Dale of 9 Sun Street, Oldham. Died 24th July 1917 aged 50 years.
Mark Dale of Sun Street, Oldham. Died 2nd December 1923 aged 60 years.

I have now confirmed that although they both lived and died in Oldham they are not buried in any of the local cemeteries. I presume therefore that that they are buried together in the grounds of a local church but I've not found any information as yet.

Can anyone help please? Many thanks, Luke

I'd check newspaper announcement to see if the burial place is given there.

Is that the Mark Dale who married Elizabeth hogan in Bolton in 1885? In that case her father was a shoemaker ( deceased), if that's any help?
