RAF Group Photo, The Gang of Rogues

Hello,

We know that my grandfather served in the RAF in WW2. But do not know much else. I found a photo of him and his whole section. and there was this written on the back. Could anybody let me know what it means please?

Ahhh Thanks Shaun,

Ok, That makes sense. He was a bus and lorry driver outside of the military, so I have an inkling that he was probable a driver if he was in Supply and transport.

In the group photo he and a few others are wearing different hats to everyone else. you can see him second from left in back row of this snippet

B.L.A. stands for British Liberation Army

BLA was the official term for the British forces on the Western Front from the Normandy invasion until August 1945 when it became the British Army of the Rhine.

There is no significance in the differing styles of headgear worn.

That surprises me. Everything ive found so far has so much significance in terms of what it signifies. So I would have thought a completely different shaped hat would mean something completely different
