Dear All,

I think, with your help, I have found this coat of arms. In the General Armory of 1851 ( thanks MaecW for the Wilkinson clue ) there is the following:

Wilkinson Gu. a fesse vair, betw. three unicorns statant ar. Crest - On a mount vert a talbot sejant ar. amidst rushes ppr.

I can only assume at this stage that the inscription on this monument was already worn away when the 1943 book of inscriptions was made. Still it does show you that other clues can help solve mysteries. Thank you again, all of you, for your help. Rootschat is so wonderful for this sort of thing.
