Very interesting! Thank you for contacting me, how are you related to them ? Do you have more on the Gower side of the Family ? I have Elizabeth’s parents as Richard Gower born 1722 Barcombe son of Richard and Sarah Newman , and Ann Short born 1728/29 Cuckfield daughter of John and Mary.

William Pattenden, (direct descendant of John Pattenden and Elizabeth Gower) was my 5th or 6th x GreatGrandfather. I will have to check the number of Greats(!)

William Pattenden is Buried in the Churchyard of St Luke's in East Grinstead. (His grave is the closest one to the Church door). His daughter Marry Pattenden married 3 times. My Link is from her 2nd Marriage, to William Dyer. Their son, (also William Dyer) married Ellen Hamilton. Their daughter Frances Dyer was my Maternal Great Grandmother.

I have a Family Tree, going back to Jeremiah Pattenden in about 1605.
