James Street Dunoon
« on: Sunday 19 May 19 19:44 BST (UK) »
Researching the family of Robert Waller who stayed in James Street between 1881 and 1890. Would anyone know what type of property they might have lived in. Also would the church in Hunter Street be their nearest Church of Scotland.

Zoomable map of Dunoon here: https://maps.nls.uk/view/74427466

On the Northern part of the town, firstly locate "Gallow Hill" then still proceeding further North locate "Gas Works Gasometer"; James Street is directly opposite.

I was in James Street the other week and it looked possible that there were some buildings missing. I was asking incase someone with knowledge of dunoon was on roots chat. I also asked about the the church as there is a church boarded up on hunter street as well as some land with no buildings on being sold by the church. ???
