Yoxford/Peasonhall Parish Registers - DENNISON
« on: Tuesday 21 May 19 09:39 BST (UK) »
I would be very much obliged if someone could look up the following baptisms:

Henry Dennison born c1813 Yoxford (according to 1851 Census)

William Dennison born c1809 Yoxford (according to 1851 Census)

William Dennison married in Peasenhall in 1833 (info from Find My Past Suffolk Marriage index) and there appear to be quite a few Dennison marriages in that parish, so it is possible the baptisms may have taken pleace there too.  I have a theory that the two men above may be the sons of John Dennison of Peasenhall and his wife Priscilla.

Thank you Lesley

The baptisms don't seem to go earlier than 1818 in that parish (familysearch).
What dates did you get for the Dennison- Davy Marriage?

Elizabeth Dennison 23 August 1818   PEASENHALL John Dennison & Drusilla Davy
Mary Ann Dennison  22 August 1824   PEASENHALL John Dennison & Priscilla Davy
David Dennison  22 August 1824   PEASENHALL    John Dennison  & Priscilla Davy

Thank you for that information.  The marriage date for John Dennison to Priscilla Davey was 28th May 1807 in Yoxford.  I'm going to take a look at the link you sent me now.

Thanks for link to Suffolk FHS.  I must admit I have already sent an email to them to check if the CDs mentioned actually do contain PRs for Yoxford around the dates I'm interested in.  I am currently awaiting a response.  In the meantime I thought someone might be able to do a look up for me at SRO?  It would be quite expensive to purchase both CDs (over 30) so naturally any free help would be very welcome!!

You can ask for (paid) lookups on surnames only (second link) if you don't want to but whole CDs.
They will provide costings before you decide to purchase

Yes, I noticed that.  Perhaps I'll give it a go.

Thanks for your help Pauline.
