I'm currently searching for the parents of Robert Allingham who was born in Belleek in 1840.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi myluck!

We thought his parents were John Allingham and Margaret Armstrong who married in Tubrid church in 1827 but the dates are not right.  Not sure whether that church helps with what religion they were?  We think we're missing a generation, possibly another John Allingham but haven't been able to locate them..

There are a few trees on line for a Robert Allingham born in Belleek in 1840
They nearly all state that he married Ellen Ewing in 1867 in New Zealand
Is this also your man?

One tree shows him as b1842 and a possible sister b1835

Do you have this actual record if it is?
Or do you have a marriage or other records with reference to his place of birth and parents?

To accurately match your Robert to his family you will need some further details as there are several families of the name around that general area
