Thank you Shume and to all at Rootschat, everyone has been wonderful with all the help I have needed over the years.

I have tried Trove Jennaya, but thank you for the the mention, I have a month and year now so I only need the day...here's hoping I will be lucky for the family involved, she was born in August 1937.

I am wondering whether you have stated your relationships quite right in your post

If Bernard and Nancy were your great great grandparents and Evelyn was their daughter so Evelyn's sister would need to be your great grandmother, not your grandmother.

However, if you meant to say  Bernard (born 1916) and Nancy were your great grandparents, then it would be correct that Evelyn's sister is your grandmother.

If you do not have a photo of Bernard William MAUGHAN and wish to see one, there is one on the last page of his digitised WW2 service file. enter the name here. Sadly he was a non-compliant type of personality I fear according to news reports

At the time of the death of Evelyn ( 1945) there were 2 other children in the family, Margaret aged 7 and Peter aged 2.

Hello Sue,

I am in no way related to the family I was trying to help regarding the birth date for Evelyn MAUGHAN, I was helping a member of her family, a lady in the family has since passed, I have no longer any contact with any of this family, I have tried but have been unsuccessful.
