It's a minefield. She accused the poor boys of mugging her, and is almost successful. However in a scene straight out of Ealing comedy, as the police are graciously escorting her to railway station. Two reporters recognise her, one of them was at a court case the week before pulling the same stunt in Birmingham. They speak to the police ( who by now have serious egg on their faces) and she is arrested.then photographic identification kicks in, she is identified as Anastasia Carter, Anastasia Huggard, Mary Ann o Brian, Jane Tureau, Anastasia finlary Anastasia Brazil, Anastasia macarthy. After the prison sentence, she makes her way to Staffordshire and Derbyshire and called herself, Ann Shaw, and to my 3x great grandfather as Louisa Jane.
