Welcome to rootschat, Tinribs1965

Do you know when or where he died?

What other information is on the certificate?

I am afraid I don't know if he has died.

How about applying for the marriage certificate for information on his parents?

I found the information on Scotlandspeople website. Mary - or May passed away before I could get any details. Mary is from Ardrossan, and the wedding was registered in Ardrossan and Saltcoats. I don't have any other information other than her husbands name. We used to live in Kirkhall Drive, I do not remember anything as I left Scotland when I was 5

You mentioned that Mary/May had died. Where? Not seeing an entry for her death on Scotlands People.

Mary was my Mother. We left Scotland when I was 5, so her death would not be registered in Scotland.
John Mcauley Walker is the person I am looking to find. I have looked through death register so am guessing he is still alive, unless he moved away too. The whole McBlain family moved to the South of England

Thank you. Makes things clearer  :)

As suggested by chempat earlier, if you, I would order the marriage cert from from 1962. Scottish marriage certs are more informative than English certs and will include full details of bride and groom's parents including mothers' full names. If you were to find a possible death in Scotland, at least you have details to compare.  Death certs also include parents' names for the deceased if known to the informant.
