Was she living in Lancashire in 1841 and did she say she was born in county?

I had a reasonable scour of a map the other day and found many of the places noted in your reply #11, however I could not find anywhere called "Yetton" or similar, though the maps were somewhat later than this person would have been born; so as suggested by Malky's link, Heaton seems to be another name for Yetton. When spoken the names sound similar so seems logical.
If you are looking for her birth/baptism, you might like to start there.

Hello,

Yes the 1841 census says she was born in Lancashire. One of their children was baptised at Prestwich in 1816, which is only over the other side of Heaton Park in Manchester, where 'Little Heaton' is.

Baptism: 16 Jun 1816 St Mary the Virgin, Prestwich, Lancashire, England
Charlotte Wood - [Child] of Roger Wood & Mary
    Born: 27 Apr 1816
    Abode: Wigan
    Occupation: Weaver
There must have had a reason for Charlotte to be baptised at Prestwich although father's abode was Wigan. A reason may have been that Mary was in the Prestwich parish with her relatives.
Prestwich parish covered a large area.
I'd go with Little Heaton/Yetton. Mary wouldn't have pronounced 'H' in Heaton.

Are you sure all those children were theirs? Roger was a weaver on most but a brickmaker on one.
