Hi team

Is someone able to check newspapers to see if the Harriet CASKEY who died at Tonawonda, NY state on 20 October 1950 might be this same lady please.  Her husband was John Benjamin CASKEY and she had 3 daughterS.  She was last seen on the 1940 census in Buffalo.

Obit for John.......nothing for Harriet so far.

February 7, 1948 , In Buffalo, John B. Caskey of 393 Crescent Ave., husband of Harriet E Caskey; father of Mrs Maxim T. Gray of Ft. Erie, Ont, Mrs, Ruth Sturtevant of Syracuse, N. Y Mrs. William Sides, Jr., of Kenmore, K. Y.  brother of Mrs. Robert Smith of Riverton. N. J.. Mrs. George Speldel of Florida and the late Mrs. Edwin Cotton. Calls may be made at Johnson A Wllklns Funeral Home, 443 Delaware Ave., where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o clock. Friends are Invited to attend.

I'd found John's death but I hadn't seen the obit.

I've also just realised that Harriet's sister Emma ISLEY is buried at Tonawanda so maybe it is her passing in 1950?!?!

Might be worth contacting the cemetery with the date you suspect if nothing else transpires on here.

Yes, that appears to be her.

There was a death notice  in the newspaper on 10/21/1950 giving her maiden name as "Isley".

Marriage - CASKEY—ISLEY - 1897

The following from the Buffallo Express of Sunday, June 27, concerning a former Port Jervls boy, will be of interest to Gazette readers. Mr. Caskey, whose marriage is noted, is a graduate of our academy in the class of '89 and Is the only son of the late Ben j Caskey of Hill Crest Farm , near this vlllage . He is now stenographer with the Superior Lumber Co.  A wholesale firm in Buffalo and is prominant in church and social affairs.
On Wednesday evening, Junee 23d, in the Niagara Square People's church, the marriage of Mr John Benjamin Caskey and Miss Harriet Ellen Isley was solemized.
The bride was gowned in white silk and wore a veil and carried bride roses.
S he  was attended by her sister.Miss Ann A Isley , who wa s gowned in white organdie
over pink silk and carried pink sweet peas. The best man was Mr. Fred C.  Landefeld and the usher s Messrs Emanuel Muntz and Alber TM. Wilson .
A n informal reception to relatives followed at the home of tho bride on Goodell street.
Later the bride and groom left for New York and Washington They will be at home to their friends after August 1st at N o . 82 Puffer Street. Th e out-of-town guests were the Misse S  Caskey of Port Jervls, sisters of the groom.  Mr. Caskoy's many friends here will be glad to hear of his success In business and social clrcals and in commo  with THE GAZETTE will extend hearty congratulations
upon his marriage .
