Ann or Annie Wynn or Winn b Q2 1881 Merrington

The above was one of 9 children of George Wynn or Winn (1847-1919) and Annie Gamsby ( 1848-1928), her name recorded as Winn, mother GAINSBY, Registration Auckland on GRO.
There seems to be some controversy about whether she married Ralph Bell Q2 1898 at Durham, the 1939 register shows both were born in 1878 so either she was telling fibs or she married someone else or passed away? There are 10 trees on Anc that give her birth as 1877/78.
I'm beginning to think that she didn't marry Ralph Bell?

What details exactly have you found of the Bells’ entry in 1939?

If you had the marriage you would know if her father was George, his occupation and where she was living at the time plus witnesses all of which might help solve the problem.

Not unheard of to say you were a little younger or could her parents have had a previous Ann who died that she was named after?

her birthplace matches that of the wife of Ralph Bell but as I say the marriage with her father's name could be crucial in sorting out which Annie she was.

My interest is in Annie as above. I don't want to include Ralph Bell if she didn't marry him. I don't want to buy a marriage cert for the Bell marriage as if it'd the wrong marriage for Annie then no use to me.
At 1939 Ralph's dob was 30 Mar 1878 and Annie's 7 Aug 1877.

Milliepede I think you may be right about the Watson marriage. The problem with the Winn family is that they keep changing their surname from the original Wind!

I think Milliepede may be correct about the WATSON marriage. Followed by a marriage to Bob/Robert HUTCHINSON Mar qtr 1916 in Durham reg. district? On the 1939 they seem to be with a now married daughter from the 1911 census.
