I know one of the male descendants had more than one wife at a time. I've got a fair amount of tree for them. I'm just more confused than ever how they all relate to me... Especially getting all the matches at close level and slight to none where you'd expect someone else to match...

Have almost exactly the same dilemma with DNA group on Ancestry.Heaps and heaps of matches (200 plus at this stage )ranging from 50cM back to 8cM ,all seemingly connected to southern US states with what looks likely from available trees a common ancestor and no obvious connection to Ireland.
