The Tirah Campaign, often referred to in contemporary British accounts as the Tirah Expedition, was an Indian frontier war during 189798. Tirah is a mountainous tract of country in what is now a federally administered tribal area of Pakistan

"Tirah Expenditionary force 1899"

and the bottom is NOK.
(Mother) Margaret Forfar and an address.

"Tirah Expenditionary force 1899"

Or perhaps ... 1897 ?

Not sure about the surname.

The address may be 8 St Mary St, Dundee.
