Dear Mctasneytom,

I am sorry for such an abrupt first reply to your first topic :-[

I am very sorry but it is against our rules to publish and research details of living folk but you are quite welcome to research for past ancestors. Is Bernard still living and do you have any certificates for Bernard ?

Good Luck !!

Regards

Sarah

1939 reguster

Two blacked out records so assumed still living.

You could use FreeBmd to find marriages and children

Edited to add
There are quite a few with the surname McTasney in the West Riding on 192.com

Death reg for father Henry McTasney:??

Deaths Mar 1958
McTASNEY    Henry   aged 61
Bradford    2b   72

1901 irish census:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Shankhill/Wolfhill_Lane/978936/

Birth reg for Henry (5th Nov 1896):

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1896/02153/1816528.pdf

Marriage for Henry's parents 1889:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1889/10747/5918989.pdf

This marriage records Henry as aged 20 so born c1869 (father James recorded on marriage cert)

Birth reg for Henry (5th Aug 1869) Looks like he was a twin as there is also a birth on the next page for Mary 5th Aug 1869 with same parents:

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1869/03387/2241932.pdf

This birth reg records father as James

Death for James McTasney (aged 45) in 1895 (surname spelt with ss):

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1895/05917/4680003.pdf

Possible death for James McTasney's wfe Mary???

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1907/05541/4554040.pdf

ADDED:

There is a marriage for a James McTasney in 1865

Group Registration ID   N/R
SR District/Reg Area   Belfast
Returns Year   1865
Returns Quarter   1
Returns Volume No   16
Returns Page No   392

and possible spouse

Violet Davison

Group Registration ID   N/R
SR District/Reg Area   Belfast
Returns Year   1865
Returns Quarter   1
Returns Volume No   16
Returns Page No   392

Looking at the birth reg for the twins Mary and Henry their mothers name is hard to read but could be a form of Violet (nee Davison??)

There is this death for a Violette McTasney aged 24  in 1873:

Group Registration ID   N/R
SR District/Reg Area   Belfast
Deceased Age at Death   24
Returns Year   1873
Returns Quarter   1
Returns Volume No   1
Returns Page No   244

and  this death for a Violette McTansey aged 0 in 1872

Group Registration ID   N/R
SR District/Reg Area   Belfast
Deceased Age at Death   0
Returns Year   1872
Returns Quarter   4
Returns Volume No   16
Returns Page No   218

which looks like this child born 1872 recorded as Violetta McJawsney (father James, mother Violetta (nee Davison).

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1872/03251/2191560.pdf

There is also this birth for an unknown McTasney born in the workhouse in 1878 (parents James and Mary (nee Smyth):

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1878/02980/2091882.pdf

Their Marriage was Registered in Belfast

so a Search as follows on https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp will get any registrations for them and children, maybe Siblings marrying etc..
