Go to
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and view the marriage certificate. It will tell you the names of the couple's parents including their mothers' maiden surnames, and also whether or not they were deceased.
According to Family Search Alexander Farquhar and Jessie Mutch had at least four children:

The 1881 census says that the family were at Backhill of Nittansheads, Parish of Tyrie:

Margaret, 6

Adam, 3
Isabella, 2
Elizabeth, 5 months
All listed as born New Deer, except Elizabeth who was born in Tyrie. (New Pitsligo is in the parish of Tyrie.)
